ADRIAN Dale and Colin Mountford earned the bowling and batting laurels at Congleton Cricket Club over the past season.
Dale scored 481 runs, an average of 24.3, while Mountford took 28 wickets at an average cost of just under 14 runs.
Congleton finished in seventh place in the 12-team league, on the way claiming 73 bonus bowling points, the best total in the league.
"After a poor start to the season the end result was not too bad,'' said club chairman Mike Kitton.
"As the first team is a very young side it bodes well for the next and subsequent seasons.
''If we had won the two games when we had the opposition at nine wickets down we would have finished in third or fourth position.''
