TEN new jobs are set to be created with the opening of a new fish and chip shop in Congleton.
John Hodson, who owns Pine Kitchen in Biddulph, is set to open the new business in the former Bargain Booze off-licence in Hillfields.
The chip shop will be allowed to open from 11.30am to 2pm and 4.30pm to 11.30pm on Monday to Saturday, and the same hours on Sunday but closing at 10.30pm.
Mr Hodson said he aimed to create a "quality fast food outlet'' and would initially employ 10 staff, mainly part-time.
He opened his takeaway in Biddulph nine years ago, and employs 15 staff.
He was given permission for his Congleton takeaway by borough councillors.
