SO the subject of Warrington Baths comes up yet again. When are the residents of Warrington going to realise what a super centre the Baths are? Where else can so many different swimming activities go on at the same time?
As for the point of making a fun centre with slides and wave machines, these are great for the under-15s but what about the rest of us who go to do serious swimming or play water sports?
On the subject of money and the National Lottery, how many of us have seen or are interested in Winston Churchill's papers? A snip at £15m maybe but, in my opinion, why waste money on useless things like those papers when it could be put to better use subsidising leisure facilities and teaching young children how to swim.
Perhaps if people stopped calling the centre and used it they would see for themselves that for once, in this money-mad world, pleasure should be put before money.
