ON Friday September 18, I was waiting at the London Road bus shelter, Stockton Heath at 3.45pm when the traffic was halted due to the bridge going off. A white 'Discovery' registration A5 EEH came to a halt adjacent to the shelter but unlike other motorists didn't turn off her engine.
When politley asked to do so as it was causing air pollution, her response was that it was just something that we had to put up with. There were 21 people at the bus stop of which over half were school children including my two grandchildren who both have asthma.
I would like to appeal to the driver to have a little more consideration but people with an attitude rarely change which makes it even harder for other people of Stockton Heath who are trying to find a solution to the air pollution in London Road.
