MEMBERS of Warrington's Talking Newspaper gathered at their Annual General Meeting to celebrate a successful year of bringing news to the town's blind people.
Cassette Group members meet at Warrington Library to record the GUARDIAN on cassette, delivering the latest news, events and sport to 350 people every week.
Member Joan Chesworth treated the gathering to a talk about her visit to Buckingham Palace for the Queen's Golden Anniversary last year.
Chairman John McMurtrie said: "It really is a lifeline for many of the blind. Without it they would feel much more isolated from their community. It means they can talk about the news with sighted readers, too."
