A BEWSEY woman was involved in a 'trolley rage' incident while shopping in a town centre supermarket.
The 45-year-old medical receptionist, who does not wished to be named, was involved in a check-out clash at Sainsbury's in Church Street at about 9.45am on Saturday.
The woman claims she was repeatedly rammed by another customer's trolley and then verbally abused.
"The woman pushed her trolley into me about four times. At first I thought it was an accident but she kept doing it.
She paid for her shopping but was then subjected to a torrent of abuse regarding her trolley.
She added: "She shouted after me and swore at me. I was so embarrassed I just had to leave the shop.
"Nevermind road rage, this was trolley rage," she said.
Sainsbury's manager Ian Morris said: "We have never heard of this happening here before and we would look into any complaint made.
"Customers do get irate sometimes because they want to get in, spend their money and get out as fast as they can but that doesn't always happen," he said.
