WELL done Winsford Council - you have really surpassed yourselves this time!
Cyclists can now ride hell-for-leather between Brunner Guild Hall and the Golden Lion in both directions on the pavement, knocking down innocent pedestrians and primary school children en-route.
Don't think for one minute that they didn't do it before, they did - the only difference now is that you have given them the right to do it.
The biggest part of the pavement has been taken up by this cycle lane, leaving small children, elderly people and mothers with prams and toddlers to squash themselves either against the wall or on the edge of the dual carriageway.
How many people will get hurt before the powers-that-be see their latest project for the white elephant that it is?
Mrs J T Walker, Coniston Grange, Winsford.
