KYLE White's career with Widnes Vikings has come to an end, the club has revealed this week.
As new manager Colin Whitfield settles into his role, Kyle, who captained the club for two seasons, has been told that his contract will not be renewed.
And the man who lead the Vikings last season looks to have fallen victim to Rugby League's three-foreigner ruling, which limits the number of overseas players a club can have.
Vice-chairman Tom Fleet told Sports World: "Kyle is out of contract. With the signing of Paul Mansson and Gareth Adams, and with Martin Moore already here, we have our quota of three foreign players."
Australian Kyle owns and runs Kelly's pub in Widnes town centre.
Another Aussie, Shane Wilson, left at the end of the season just finished.
With most of last year's squad out of contract, more signings are imminent.
"We are looking at other players and there will be more recruitment. But time is on our side because it's very early days," Mr Fleet added.
