THREE teenage robbers - one wielding a knife - threatened a bus driver in a late night attack on Runcorn busway, detectives revealed this week.
The gang flagged down a bus on the busway at The Calvers bus stop on The Brow.
When the Arriva bus stopped, one of the youths produced a 12-inch knife and demanded cash from the driver.
There were no passengers on the bus which was travelling from Runcorn Shopping City towards Castlefields. The gang fled with a small amount of cash.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
The robbery happened at 11.20pm on Thursday, September 17. Details have only just been released.
The three-man gang was all white. The first attacker was aged 17-18, 5ft 10ins, slim, with collar-length thick, wavy hair. He was wearing a white polo shirt with thin brown lines around the collar and sleeves and light-coloured Chino jeans.
The second, who was wielding the knife, was aged 18, 5ft 10ins, slim with wavy, dark brown hair with bleached streaks. He was wearing a red, blue and purple-coloured paisley handkerchief over his mouth. He was also wearing a red sweater.
The attacker was aged 18, 5ft 9ins, of stocky build with short black hair. He was wearing a red top.
