IT appears that the seemingly endless run-up to Christmas is once again upon us!
Last week I was doing my shopping in Morrisons at Winsford when I noticed that boxes of Christmas biscuits were already on sale.
A feeling of dread washed over me as I envisaged the mountain of Christmas goods which would be making their way into the shops over the coming weeks.
Soon we won't be able to move for Christmas puddings, selection boxes and ridiculously over-priced dolls of the Spice Girls or whatever this year's festive fad is.
I don't wish to sound like a killjoy - in fact, I love Christmas time as much as anyone. However, I feel that things are going just a bit too far when shops are introducing their Yuletide stock on a sunny day in September.
As usual, we'll all be sick to death of Christmas long before December 25.
Outsider.
