ADVENTUROUS youngsters in Winsford and Middlewich are being tracked down by BSES Expeditions to take a trip to Alaska next year.

The organisation is looking for young people aged between 16.5 and 20 on July 1, 1999, who would like to spend six weeks of their summer adventuring in Chugach State Park.

Participants will also get a chance to visit the deserts of Kenya and the Tien Shan mountains of Kyrghyzstan.

They should be keen on the outdoors, resourceful, reasonably fit and be able to demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm and a sense of humour.

The expedition will offer challenge, adventure and science. Young explorers will be involved in scientific research and conservation.

Fieldwork such as botany, surveying, meteorology, geology, glaciology, ornithology, flora and fauna studies as well as photography and art will be available.

A spokesman from BSES Expeditions said: "Anyone who thrives on living in the wild, who has a lively enquiring mind, who works hard and plays hard and who wants to discover new things in a challenging way should be encouraged to take part."
