CONCERN was again voiced about the safety of the Vale Royal section of the Nantwich Road at a meeting of Middlewich Town Council last week.
Clr Anna Usherwood asked other councillors to support her in a campaign to get two chevron signs erected at an accident blackspot on the Middlewich section of the road.
Two signs were erected on the bend five years ago after several accidents, and the number of crashes was drastically cut.
But recent incidents have caused the signs to be knocked over and now there is no warning to motorists about the severity of the road's bend.
Clr Usherwood said: "Putting up signs would greatly improve road safety for users, especially strangers, since the bend is extremely deceptive."
Middlewich Town Council will now write to the county highway department at Northwich in an effort to have the chevrons erected.
