A WINSFORD woman will receive her telegram from the queen today, Wednesday, after reaching her 100th birthday.
Annie Woodward, of Hebden Green Farm, will have an afternoon party with her friends and family and a big cake to celebrate the special occasion.
Annie has lived in Winsford for 60 years and previously resided in Little Budworth, where she worked on a farm with her late husband, George.
Despite her years Annie is still a whizz with the knitting needles and makes squares and blankets which are sent out to Africa to help the poor.
She also enjoys good conversation and socialising with her friends and family.
Her other passions include farms, having lived and worked on them, and animals - Annie has a particular soft spot for dogs.
