Both FC Wharf and The Plough beat teams from Division One. Wharf were 4-1 winners against Little Budworth thanks to goals from Ling, McKeown, Mineton and Cowell while The Plough thrashed Townsend United 7-3. Their goals came from Heword, who hit a hat-trick, Brown, who bagged a brace, Rice and Breasley.
In the week's league action, Thatched Tavern conceded four goals, the only goals they have conceded this season, but beat Egerton 6-4 to make it four wins out of four. Edwards hit two, with Dunn, Nutting, Hennin and Brown grabbing the others.
Pockets went second thanks to a 2-1 win over Oaklands, Miranda and Wilkinson netting.
And the league's top two sides are set to contest a mouth-watering clash in the second round of the Mid Cheshire's FA Sunday Cup. The full draw appears on page 86.
