The result was remarkable considering the way Preston beat Park last year - and the fact their side contained several ex National League players.
Captain Danny Moores showed the way with the first goal, clinically finishing a well-drilled penalty corner move.
Frustratingly, the home side replied in similar fashion before Park went back in front.
John Stackhouse was the architect, unleashing a long cross to Robert Booth who finished in customary style with a rocket into the top corner.
Preston replied again before Ed Dutton put Park ahead for the third time before their hosts once again drew level.
Although this was the last goal of the game, it was not the last action as Moores was blood-binned, being ably replaced by Tom Groves who helped Park hang on for a welcome point.
2nd XI 1-0 (Caldwell); 3rd XI 3-5 (McGuinness, Connor, Lloyd); 4th XI 1-0 (Atherton); Juniors 3-2 (Lewis (2), Hunt).
