Dorie handed over over the mayoral chain to her deputy, Clr George Mainwaring, while she underwent a minor operation.
She has since thanked Clr Mainwaring for his efforts at Northwich Town Council on her behalf.
The operation was a complete success, and Dorie's first duty was at the Rudheath Community Fun Day on Saturday. See page 16 for the full story.
Yesterday, Tuesday, she was presented with a cheque for £50 from Linda Done and Stella Miller of Winnington Hall Plc, who ran a tombola at the opening in aid of the mayor's charity, Childline North West.
"My message to everyone two weeks ago was 'I'll be back'," said Dorie.
"And to prove it, here I am!"
