The vestry building - known as the sacristy - was gutted by fire on July 12, as the congregation celebrated Catholic Holy Mass next door.
But the fire hasn't proved to be a setback for the Canon Patrick Healey.
"The restoration work is going ahead very well," said Canon Healey.
"It hasn't turned out to be too much of a problem at all, and it certainly hasn't affected the services."
The cause of the fire has now been confirmed as an electrical fault.
Converted for the new archive on 13 March 2001. Some images and formatting may have been lost in the conversion.
