One-year-old Grace Parkes woke up from a nice morning sleep on Monday morning, but wasn't a happy tot when she discovered mum couldn't get into her nursery.
Lorraine Parkes, 31, said: "It was awful - the door handle was turning but it seemed to be locked from the inside.
"I began to panic because Grace was crying."
At that moment Lorraine's husband, Tony, 40, rang from Kuala Lumpar where he's been masseur for the England's cycling squad in the Commonwealth Games.
"He told me to get a screw driver and take the door handle off but that didn't work," said Lorraine.
"And I tried to kick the door in but couldn't.
"So I rang the fire brigade and asked if they would come out to that sort of thing - they said they were on their way and were here within minutes.
"They soon had the door open. Grace, who'd been trapped for about 20 minutes in all, was fine. But she looked a bit surprised to see burly men in her nursery!
"I really am very grateful to the fire brigade - they are so efficient and caring. I didn't even think they'd come out to that sort of thing."
