A DROP-IN Centre offering support to Alzheimer's Disease sufferers and their carers has opened at Leighton Hospital.
The new centre will be the branch's office headquarters plus support and advice centre.
"People can now drop in to the office or telephone directly if they need information on dementia. And if anyone likes to offer their services for fund-raising we will be happy to provide them with information and help," said branch committee chairman, Mrs Phyllis Barsby.
The office opened on World Alzheimer's Day and the official launch was attended by health workers, carers and other organisations and charities.
Carers get together every second and fourth Wednesday in the month at the South Cheshire branch meetings in Lincoln House, Samuel Street, Crewe. New members and visitors are welcome.
For further information call the new office on 580949 between 10am and 2pm. An answerphone service is available.
