NANTWICH Sauna has won a late reprieve after investors delayed it's proposed transformation into a new fitness suite.
Sauna-users were upset at losing the facility, which was due to close on Tuesday while renovations were carried out.
But Powersport International dramatically stalled the £120,000 developments at the eleventh-hour and the centre is to be kept open until further notice.
A council spokesman said the company had been asked by the council for a formal letter to make the position clear.
"Until that is available and there has been an opportunity to consider the implications, no further comment can be made," he said.
"It is hoped to submit a report to the Policy Committee on October 13. Meanwhile, whilst the position is being clarified the Nantwich Sauna will remain open."
