A GROUP of Widnes children were injured when a school bus on which they were passengers was involved in a collision with a tractor in Hale Village on Monday afternoon.
The accident, injuring 14 children and one adult, happened at 4.30pm when a tractor carrying a plough was passing the single-decker Arriva bus along Town Lane.
As the tractor tried to overtake the stationary bus, there was a collision, ripping the roof off the Speke-bound bus.
Paramedics arrived at the scene to treat the injured, before they were taken to Whiston and Alder Hey hospitals.
None of the children were seriously injured. The driver of the tractor was not injured either.
