PLANS for an urban village development at RAF Burtonwood have taken a step closer to reality.
Land at the former airbase is owned by a number of different organisations including the Ministry of Defence, the Commission for New Towns and Warrington Borough Council. But they have agreed to work together to create an environmentally friendly village for the future.
Helen Southworth, MP for Warrington South, said: "This is excellent news. I have been having discussions with the various organisations since I was elected and now they have agreed to co-operate on development. Residents will also be involved in a consultation process."
