LITTLE Laura Bevin has become a media celebrity after her unusual story was revealed in last week's GUARDIAN.
The 18-month-old toddler suffers from a rare condition known as polydactyly - which means she has 12 fingers and 11 toes.
Laura's mum, Carol, has been inundated by interest from national newspapers and even two German television channels after the exclusive front page story last week.
She said: "I can't believe it. It has all gone absolutely mad. Laura has always been special to us but we never regarded her as unusual because she's just our little girl.
"But I'm glad more people have become aware of her condition because it means there may be more research into the causes. I hope it encourages other mums to come forward as well."
