GAIN work experience and a recognised qualification by helping people with disabilities get out and about.
The Leisure, Recreation and Sport Service is looking for anyone who can spare a couple of hours each week to act as 'enablers.' This involves accompanying wheelchair-users or people affected by other disabilities on day trips, visits to the cinema or pub, or to attend recreational activities.
A spokesman said: "There is a solution for people feeling excluded from enjoying the pleasure of participating in leisure or sporting activities because of an illness or disability.
"Our group matches up those people with appropriate enablers to allow them to try out new interests."
