YOUNGSTERS from Newton County and St Peter's CE are set to take part in a new health and safety initiative which is being run by the Borough Council, St Helens and Knowsley Health and funded by the Education Business Partnership.
'Crucial Crew' involves sending groups of 10 children through 10 imaginative sets which challenges and informs on relevant health and safety issues from safety on the roads to drug awareness.
Organiser Andy Macully said: "The purpose of the scheme is to give children a 'sharp dose' of information.
"In a dangerous situation, the difference of knowing something and knowing nothing could be the difference between life and death."
