MANAGEMENT and neighbours have cleared the air with a face-to-face meeting over a Warrington tannery.
The Westy Environmental Campaign, backed by Clr Hans Mundry, held fruitful talks with bosses at the former Pierpoint and Bryant works on Tuesday over a wide range of noise and odour problems.
Managing director Doug Kerr and environmental manager David Neild agreed to regular liaisons between the group and the firm, now run by Eagle Ottawa, so any problems could be quickly highlighted and tackled.
Campaign chairman Bob Fleming said: "It is nice to see the company is now listening to people living around here."
The firm says £1.4 million has recently been spent on acoustic controls, measures to control odours and improve waste water discharges.
