What do they know that we don't?
Objectors to the scheme include Martin Bell MP, the Ministry of Argriculture, the Department of the Environment, Macclesfield Borough Council, local parish councils and many residents who are daily adding their names to a protest petition.
These objectors know that a Government-appointed inspector has already ruled that the development cannot be justified, that an estimated additional 5,500 traffic movements per day will be inflicted on the local population, that 40 hectares of good agricultural land will be lost and replaced with buildings covering an area one and a half times the size of Morrison's Depot.
These facts are dismissed without comment by Northwich Town Council and Vale Royal Labour Group.
I ask again, what do they know that we don't?
