The wildlife expert will open and give the first lecture held at the Forest Classroom tomorrow, Thursday.
Over the next 12 months, thousands of youngsters from across the region will visit the facility on environmental study trips.
Leading the way will be children from Northwich, who will be sitting in on Professor Bellamy's talk.
He will talk to kids about their impressions of nature and lead them out on to one of Europe's biggest wetland restoration projects, Blakemere Moss, which is currently being reflooded after it was drained two centuries ago.
The classroom, which was paid for with the help of a £10,000 grant from Shell, is situated beside Forest Enterprise's Linmere Visitor Centre which is signposted off the B5152 between Delamere and Hatchmere.
