Warrington Under Nines League
Halton 4
Culcheth 3
IN a game in which Halton created enough scoring chances to win half a dozen games, it was a mystery that with only 13 minutes remaining, they found themselves trailing by a 0-3 scoreline.
The game took a turn for the better with the introduction of Alan Staniford and particularly Tom Ward, who rolled up his sleeves and instantly took control of the midfield.
Simon Hall started the recovery with a brace of goals in as many minutes, the first showing great technique, skimming the ball around the defender and placing the ball wide of the keeper.
Connor Anderson scored from close-range after a four-man move in the last minute of normal time and it was Chris Stonely who snatched the glory in the second minute of injury time to secure the points for Halton.
Mom, Simon Hall.
Halton B also had success with a 7-5 victory over Culceth B to maintain their 100% record with goals from Steven Roberts, Matt Watson and Tom Burbridge and Adam Harrison.

Halton A 2
Culcheth A 2
HALTON started well and took the lead early on with a great shot from Matt which the Culcheth goalkeeper had difficulty holding on to.
Culcheth made steady progress and got themselves back into the game and found themselves leading at the interval after sloppy defending by the Halton boys.
After a reshuffle at half-time the Halton defence looked strong with Matt and captain Danny firmly in control.
Halton played some good football in the second-half and when Lewis broke, on to a lovely through ball, it was inevitable he would score if he could bring it on to his trusty left foot.
The cheer went up, as he salvaged a point as he calmly slotted the ball to the keeper's right. Mom, Matt.
Halton B 3
Culcheth B 1
HALTON always looked in control in this game, they had men in space and time on the ball, having said that the first goal came from a lovely piece of individual skill as Kieran Slater picked the ball up just in the Culcheth half, danced past a Culcheth challenge and placed a Beckham-like shot in the top of the net.
He followed up with number two from the penalty spot minutes later.
Culcheth fought hard and pulled one back before the break as the ball came in from the left.
In the second-half young Jamie played well at the back for Halton while Callum made it three with a fine misplaced shot which took a wicked deflection and somehow found its way into the back of the net.Mom, Kieran Slater.
