Bridgewater 0
Old Transporter 5
THE TRANNY come up against a spirited Bridgewater side who, in the first-half, got men behind the ball and defended deep to frustrate the Tranny side.
The breakthrough finally came after 30 minutes with a Gary Tyrell header from a left-wing cross.
The pattern of the game stayed in much the same vain but after Terry Noon was fouled in the box Gary Jacques converted the penalty for a half-time 0-2 lead.
The second-half was much as the first with Bridgewater counter-attacking when possible and defending resolutely, but their resistance was broken in the final quarter of the game with goals coming from fine a 20 yard volley from Ian Sweetin, a second penalty converted by Gary Jacques and a Gary Tyrell strike.
This was not a good Tranny performance but credit must go to the Bridgewater side who never let the Tranny settle into any rhythm during the game.
