Mond Rangers 4
Lancaster City 3
MOND took a first-half lead thanks to goals from Ricky Thompson and Adam Stamboulid.
Mond keeper Martyn Gill made several excellent saves but was unable to prevent Lancaster pulling a goal back before the interval.
The visitors equalised early in the second-half but Mond responded in the best possible style when David Littler restored their lead.
A fourth goal by Lewis Holmes put the home team in the driving seat, but a late goal from Lancaster made for a nervous closing period of play from Mond.
A good all round display from the locals who saw mom, Dave Littler, capture top form again.
Next week's Youth team fixture has been cancelled due to four players being called into the Runcorn FA Representative side.
The next game is against Padgate on Sunday week.
