Cheshire Amateur Cup First Round
Mond Rangers 3
Tintwistle Villa 2
MOND took the lead in the eighth minute when a good run down the left by Billington resulted in a low cross that was hammered into the bottom corner by Kevin Morris.
Villa equalised in the 32nd minute when Doodson was put through, he rounded the keeper and scored.
Mond had an exact repeat in the 35th minute when Jones put them ahead although his angle was more difficult.
Villa equalised in the 46th minute when a quick free-kick was headed across the Mond goal for Noel Green to fire home.
Mond were having the better of the game now and it came as no surprise when Lee Evans scored the winner in the 78th minute.
In the final minute Villa missed a glorious opportunity to equalise, Cotterall going through then firing well wide with the goal at his mercy.
Mom, Lee Evans.

Phoenix Ladies 0
Mond Rangers Ladies 7
MOND Rangers Ladies travelled to Preston last Sunday to play the familiar faces of last season's cup final victims Phoenix Ladies and on a tricky exposed park pitch took the early initiative by scoring with a goal on 15 minutes from Kath Bell.
The home side held out resolutely for half an hour before Mond Rangers swept their opponents aside with three successive headed goals, including efforts from Jenny Young and Harriet Miller, sandwiched as precisely by a headed own-goal.
With four goals already in the bag player/manger, Harriet Miller, could afford to give her substitutes invaluable match practice but that didn't distract Kath Bell from notching another hat-trick, completed spectacularly when Louise Dixon's pin-point deep cross was met with precision and drilled into the net.
Finally, one such substitute, Janette Barlow, scored the seventh goal just before the end of the match, which ironically is Mond Rangers Ladies third consecutive 7-0 win.
Preston North End Ladies will be hoping to break the lucky seven streak next Sunday, October 11 at Penwortham before Mond Rangers entertain Stockport County Ladies at Pavilions on October 18.
