ROCK bottom Knypersley Vics bounced back to earn an excellent point against highflying Kings Norton Town on Saturday.
The 1-1 home draw was not enough to lift the Vics off the bottom, but was a much needed morale-booster after the poor run of recent results .
Fourth-placed Kings Norton brought an unbeaten away record with them, and were well on top in the opening 10 minutes, hitting the cross bar twice.
The Vics settled down, and Paul James went close when he saw his shot hit the foot of the post.
Knypersley took the lead on 34 minutes with a looping 25-yard shot from Craig Redgate which flew over the Kings Norton keeper.
And just before the break the Kings Norton keeper kept his side in the game with a save from Redgate.
Knypersley continued to press in the second half, but a defensive slip let Kings Norton in for the equaliser in the dying minutes.
The away side drew level nine minutes from the end when a player squeezed the ball between the post and Vics' keeper Rob Powner.
