FOUR firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled a house fire in Scholar Green on Tuesday morning.
The occupant of a house in Wavertree Avenue was taken to hospital suffering from burns to the feet after the early morning blaze.
Three tenders, two from Congleton and a third from Kidsgrove, were called out to the fire, which started just after 2am in a semi-detached house.
It damaged both floors of the house, and was well alight by the time firefighters arrived. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
