CONGLETON computer company JSB Software Technologies has turned around its fortunes to produce a profit for the past 12 months.
Pre-tax profits for the Riverside firm were £6,000 for the year to May, compared with a £53,000 loss for the previous 12 months.
Turnover for the last year exceeded expectations at £3.36 million, slightly down on the £3.4 million for the year before.
JSB is a specialist developer and provider of networking and connectivity software, and raised £3.6 million after being floated on the Alternative Investment Market in June.
"The past year has been an exciting one, and we have made strong progress in both of our divisions,'' said JSB chairman George Hayter.
"Our MultiView strategic product revenue grew by 45 per cent, four SurfCONTROL products were ready for market by June 1998, and £3.6 million was raised during our flotation, largely for SurfCONTROL sales and marketing.
"We look forward to the current year, during which we shall remain focused on continuing to grow the MultiView products business and rolling out our plans for SurfCONTROL in the US.''
JSB's target market is medium to large businesses which have Windows desktop systems networked with Open Systems servers, the Internet and corporate Intranets.
