A CARING Crewe postal worker is set to make a vital delivery later this month to hand a lifeline to sick children in Eastern Europe.
Distribution manager Steve Parry will join a team of Royal Mail workers on a 3,000-mile trek transporting vehicles full of medical supplies to a children's hospice in Belarus.
Steve has volunteered for the trip just six months after taking on a similar convoy, delivering clothes blankets and other aid to orphanages and hospitals in Croatia.
Royal Mail will lend its support to the journey by providing two vehicles and fuel for the journey, but the team are still trying to raise the remaining £600 needed to cover other travel costs.
To help raise funds the team are holding a raffle for a £50 shopping voucher. For tickets call Paul Kelly at Runcorn Delivery Office on 01928 711470.
