A HYSTERICAL young mother kicked a social worker's car and bent its windscreen wipers causing £300 damage, Warrington Crown Court heard on Friday.

She screamed: "You have snatched my baby - I will rip your head off," the court was told.

Donna Clarke, 20, of Percival Lane, Runcorn admitted handling stolen goods, two offences of obtaining goods by deception, two of forgery and one of threatening behaviour.

She was sent to a young offenders institution for 18 months.

Sheron Guirguis, prosecuting told the court she attempted to sell a stereo unit to a friend which had been stolen from her next door neighbour.

Later she obtained a cheque book and forged the owner's signature to obtain goods on two occasions.

On another occasion she went to the Peel House Family Centre and asked to see her two children, who were in the care of a foster parent.

She later became hysterical and a social worker attempted to calm her down.

There was a struggle and Clarke later damaged the social worker's car.

Brian Cummings, defending, said Clark was alone in the world with no parents and alienated from her grandparents.

She had difficulty in controlling herself.

"She is an emotionally damaged and very lost young woman," he said.
