STUDENT Lynsey Lightowler is hoping Warrington businesses will get their skates on to help her take on the world.
The three times British roller skating champion, currently studying Sports and Business Management at University College, Warrington, is hoping to take part in the World Championships in Columbia in November.
Lynsey, aged 19, is putting in 20 hours a week training for the event, even though she doesn't know if she has been picked for the team yet.
And once she has overcome that hurdle, there is still the problem of finding the funds to actually go! Lynsey has just returned from the European Championships in Portugal, where she came seventh, but the trip proved quite expensive.
"Including coach expenses it set me back nearly £1,500," Lynsey said. "It would be a dream come true if I was chosen, especially after missing out at last year's event in Spain due to injury.
"But I need some help with funding, possibly through sponsorship."
Anyone interested in sponsoring Lynsey can contact the Collegiate on 494494.
