Vulcan 9

Moore 9

THIS fixture traditionally is a close result, and this league meeting proved no exception.

In conditions which were swamp-like, both sides struggled to get any true momentum going.

The first-half saw the teams turn round pointless, both sides missing scoring opportunities and Moore having a seemingly good try disallowed.

The second-half saw Vulcan go ahead through a penalty with Moore replying straight away with a penalty from Bradbury.

Moore then dominated the second-half putting Vulcan under pressure Moore then took the lead with a penalty from Williamson and then in period of 10 minutes, Moore saw three further tries disallowed.

Vulcan then equalised from a penalty before Moore again took the lead from the boot of Williamson.

With the game nearly over Vulcan were awarded a penalty just inside the Moore half which they converted to tie the game.

Mom for Moore was Rawlings with an outstanding display at flanker.
