Shell 0 General Chemicals 4

GENERAL CHEMICALS continue to move up the West Cheshire League with this fine win over a strong Shell side.

The game started off evenly matched before striker Mark Vickers with only the keeper to beat, drove his shot wide.

He made up for this miss after 40 minutes when he powered a header into the net.

In the second-half the Runcorn side looked well organised with Mark Ingham running things in midfield and Steve Arnold looking like his old self, as he constantly ran at the Shell defence.

A free-kick saw Lee gray touch the ball to Paul Howard, he drilled his shot into the corner of the net to make it 2-0.

Another two goals both coming from substitute Robbie Frohawk ensured yet another three points for Chemics.

Chemics £100 tote winner was No132.

On Saturday, January 30, Chemics entertain Poulton Victoria in a league fixture at Pavilions, kick-off 2.15pm.
