THE RECENT road traffic calming scheme on Chester Road and Delamere Street in Winsford is a ridiculous waste of public money.
This includes its little painted roundabout that everybody drives over and is extremely dangerous, not to mention the random parking problem that seems to have arisen.
There are enough lumps, bumps and holes in the existing local roads without adding more.
I feel that it would make more sense to improve current highways and dangerous junctions.
Townfields Road, Swanlow Lane crossroads would surely benefit from traffic signals being installed. It seems the only way that traffic signals are installed is when somebody dies in a road traffic accident at the junction, qualifying the cost with human life.
