Fred, from Granada Tonight, presented Thursday's weather from the historic cinema's roof, while manager Karl Woods launched hundreds of balloons as part of a birthday competition. Three of the balloons contain Golden Tickets, allowing the lucky finders to watch films free of charge for a year. So if you find one, visit the cinema and claim your prize.
"It was good to have Fred along," said Karl. "He helped us to celebrate in style."
