The Northwich Christian Fellowship has taken over Relate's old office on Chester Road and plans to hold weekly services there.
"We are now in a position to work within the communities of Winnington and Castle as we believe a good church should work with the people around them," said Pastor Ross Rennie.
The group has a four year lease and has already got planning permission to convert the building into a place of worship.
"We plan to have a Sunday meeting from 10.30am to 12.30pm with lively worship, a friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome to all who wish to attend," added Pastor Rennie.
"Jackie, my wife, is looking to have a mums and tots group and organise summer holiday activities for children."
Last year the fellowship, part of Life Changing Ministries, tried to take over a building in James Street, Rudheath.
They eventually dropped their plans - but kept looking for another location.
"We hope that we will be a benefit to the community," said Pastor Rennie.
"And if the building is not big enough, we will have two or three meetings on a Sunday - whatever is needed."
