CONGLETON town centre is to be scanned by eye in the sky surveillance cameras from the end of next month.
The cameras are due to be mounted on eight-metre high poles at either end of the town's pedestrian walkway.
The cameras are part of a borough-wide CCTV initiative costing £165,000, which will see 10 cameras installed across the district.
Alsager is to have cameras at Bank Corner and the Fairview car park, there will be two cameras for Middlewich, three in Sandbach and one in Holmes Chapel.
The cameras will be able to swivel 360 degrees, and will have pan, tilt and zoom features.
The poles for the 10 cameras have been installed, and the system, which will be linked to a control centre in Alsager, should be operational by the end of March.
