NANTWICH Town will be looking to bounce back with a victory away at high-flying Prescot after a disappointing 0-0 draw at home to rock-bottom Bootle.

Dabbers were hoping to use the match as a springboard to begin their surge up the table from fourth-bottom, but neither side found the back of the net.

"The opposition would never have scored if they had played until midnight," said club secretary Alan Thompson.

"We were the better footballing side by a long way but when we got into the penalty area we ran out of ideas.

"They have improved a lot since earlier this season and haven't let a goal in in the last two games, but we were expecting to beat them and it was disappointing."

One bonus the Dabbers could take from the game was the blooding of new signings Stuart Mellish and Martin Faulkner who were given a taste of first team action.
