LICENSEES at the White Lion in Coppenhall are celebrating their success at keeping the pub in tip top condition.
William Talbot and Hilary Brookes, pictured, have received the Inn Partnership Excellence Award for the pub's condition and for providing excellent customer service.
The couple have been running the pub for just a year and have built up a thriving restaurant in the former pool room.
The award, sponsored by Carling, is designed to commend those who have shown the most initiative in building their business during the year.
"We've developed the food side of the business, which has been a roaring success," said William.
"Our increase in trade can be put down to the fact we're committed to delivering excellent customer service and have well trained, quality staff."
