A SANDBACH man has appeared before magistrates in Dover on drugs charges involving cocaine worth more than £5million.

Andrew Edwards, 24, of Palmer Road, was ordered to appear before a court at Canterbury later this month for committal to a crown court.

He was arrested by customs officers in the Channel Tunnel on November 13.

It is alleged that in the boot of his car they found two holdalls containing 60 kilos of cocaine worth £5.2million.
