CLASSMATES have voted pupils into top jobs at Birchwood CE Primary School.
Year 6 pupils at the Admirals Road school voted for Paul Walker to be this term's head boy and for his deputy to be Michael Heardman, aged 10.
Head girl Laura Smith and her deputy Hannah Deakin, aged 10, said they felt they had never been noticed before and that being given the responsibilities had made them feel special.
The newly-appointed pupils will help staff with things like corridor duties and looking after the younger children at the school.
