"They were informed in some cases that the terms of their tenancy were not being honoured and if that situation persisted, they could be facing ejection," he said.

"I don't see how it can harm the situation. If parents are not aware that their kids are getting up to no good, they ought to be made aware."

Residents also want closed circuit television cameras put up outside the shops. Over 700 people have signed a petition calling for cameras, which was presented to Cuddington Parish Council on Monday night.

The county council has expressed an interest in the scheme, which the parish council will investigate later this month.
