A TRIO of pensioners were left badly shaken after a pair of burglars forced their way into their house and stole a handbag and contents.

The incident happened on Friday at 8.20pm when two men knocked on the door of a house on Hale Road, Hale village.

When one of the elderly occupants answered the door, the men burst in, seized the bag and escaped.

Both men were white, approximately 5ft 10ins tall and of proportional slim build.

One was wearing a black, padded, waist-length coat and black shoes. His face was obscured by a mask.

His partner was also wearing a black jacket. This man had thick, short, dark, wavy hair and may be in his mid 20s
